Why we say best

In September 2026 we compared the free online compressors people use most: TinyPNG, Squoosh, Compressor.io, iLoveIMG, ShortPixel, Optimizilla and Kraken. Pacing Compressor is the only one that does all of this at once:

Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression runs in your browser tab, so files never reach our servers. Camera and location data are removed from everything you download.

Which format should I pick?

WebP for almost everything on the web. PNG for logos that need transparency. AVIF for the smallest files on image-heavy pages. JPEG for email and ad platforms. Read the format guide.

Why does AVIF take longer?

AVIF squeezes harder, so each file takes more work. Pick Faster under Speed, or use WebP when you're in a hurry.

Can I put it on my own site?

The embed build runs on approved Pacing domains. Ask us if you want it on yours.

Can I do bigger batches?

The free tool takes 20 images, 10 MB each. For bigger jobs or a command-line version, talk to us.
